This week is Road Safety Week (17-23 November). As a FORS Silver Status transport company and a responsible haulage provider, we’re committed to road safety.

TJ Group hosted a cake sale in support of Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning on 27 September, raising over £150 for this worthy cause.

This week is Bike Week 2024! With sustainability at the forefront of everyone’s minds, there’s never been a better time to take to the road on two wheels!

This week is Learning at Work Week 2024 (13–19 May). The initiative is led by Campaign for Learning, a charity that champions lifelong learning at a national level. This annual event aims to build learning cultures at work and put a spotlight on the importance and benefits of continual learning and development. 

Butser Quarry Weighbridge Operator Jess Greaney has successfully completed the WAMITAB Level 4 Medium Risk Operator for Non-Hazardous Waste Treatment and Transfer qualification.

At TJ, we continue to offer exceptional training opportunities to our drivers, including Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) driver training, and an annual Health and Safety Induction which encompasses the latest industry updates.

TJ’s eighth annual health and safety staff inductions, which took place in January, were a great success! The training was delivered face-to-face for the first time since before the pandemic and this format was extremely well received by all.

TJ donated six of their Christmas hampers to Southampton City Council’s Annual Toy Appeal 2023, demonstrating their ongoing desire to give a little something back to the local community.

TJ Group has recently taken delivery of five brand new lorries - three roll-on-roll-offs (RORO) and two artics. These new vehicles have replaced our oldest lorries, ensuring our fleet remains in tip top condition.

We’re preparing for our eighth annual health and safety staff induction event, which will take place throughout January.
